FX-753 HM Hydro-Ester® High Modulus Trowel

DESCRIPTION:

FX-753 HM Hydro-Ester® High Modulus Trowel is a 100% solids, moisture insensitive epoxy resin system, containing no solvents. When mixed at a 1:1 ratio by volume, it produces a non-sagging material that is ideal for repairs on vertical or overhead surfaces. FX-753 exceeds the requirements of ASTM C-881-02 Types I, II, Grade 3, Class "B" and "C".

ADVANTAGES:

FX-753 HM will bond to wet or dry surfaces.
FX-753 HM may be feather-edged and will not shrink.
FX-753 HM is readily dispensed into narrow slots and holes from cartridge dispensers.
FX-753 HM has excellent resistance to gasoline, oil, sewage and aggressive water.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

For best results, areas to receive the FX-753 HM Hydro-Ester® High Modulus Trowel should be free of laitance, grease, oil, and any other contaminants which would inhibit a bond. Sandblasting, waterblasting, or wirebrushing for surface preparation are recommended.

MIXING:

Combine one part by volume of Component "A" with one part by volume of Component "B" in a clean pail, using a slow speed drill and an FX-Mixing Paddle. Mix for a minimum of three (3) minutes to a uniform consistency. To obtain a mortar, slowly add a maximum of one part by volume of FX-701 Filler while continuing to mix.

COVERAGE:

When used neat, a 2 gallon unit of FX-753 HM will cover approximately 64 square feet (5.9 m²) at a 50 mil thickness.

When used as mortar, a 2 gallon unit of FX-753 HM, mixed with a maximum of 2 gallons by volume of FX-701 Filler, will yield approximately 700 cubic inches (11.5 L) of mortar.

LIMITATIONS:

FX-753 HM should not be used when surface temperatures are below 40° F (4.4° C).

For best results, do not exceed one part by volume of FX-701 Filler, to one part by volume of mixed FX-753 HM.

CAUTION:

WARNING! "A" Component contains epoxy resin. DANGER! "B" Component contains alkaline amines; strong sensitizer. May cause skin sensitization or other allergic responses. Use with good ventilation, particularly if it is heated or sprayed. Prevent all contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves and/or barrier creams. Keep container closed when not in use. Wash thoroughly after handling.

FIRST AID:

In case of skin contact, immediately wash with soap and water. In case of eye contact, flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Wash clothing before reuse.
