FX-562 Rapid Curing Joint Sealant

DESCRIPTION:

FX-562 Rapid Curing Joint Sealant is a two component gun applied polyurea. It cures in minutes to provide a tough chemical and abrasion resistant sealant. This reaction is very fast, with typical working times of less than 5 minutes. Two-component guns with static mixing heads are efficient means of mixing and applying FX-562. It is recommended for use in warehouse floor joints or other joints where ordinary joint sealers fail under heavy forces from forklift loading. FX-562 is highly recommended for use in joints in Detention Centers due to its high hardness.

Water insensitivity. Affected very little by weather variations, i.e., high humidity, heat, cold, dampness, etc.

High thermal stability at temperatures up to 350° F.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Wipe steel clean and free from contaminates. Light blasting and solvent wipe.

New concreteÑremove laitance by acid etching, abrasive blasting or water blasting. Old concreteÑabrasive blast or water blast to remove laitance and contamination.

APPLICATION:

Gun material through static mixing heads into prepared joints. For large volumes, use plural component pumps through static mixing heads. FX-562 can be applied at temperatures from 35°F to 120°F.

PACKAGING:

FX-562 is packaged as a 300 ml dual cartridge, 2 gallon unit and 10 gallon unit.

SHELF LIFE:

Six months minimum when stored at 75°F and dry conditions. FX-562, like most construction materials, must be stored in a dry, well protected and suitable storage environment. Keep containers sealed.

CAUTION:

Contains organic isocyanates MDI. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not ingest. Keep away from foodstuffs and wash thoroughly before smoking or eating. Should skin contact occur, wash skin well with soap and water. Should eye contact occur, flush thoroughly for at least 15 minutes with water. Get medical attention.
