SURFACE PREPARATION:
Steel Surfaces: Steel surfaces should be dry abrasive blasted to a commercial gray metal finish as specified by the Steel Structures Painting Council SP-6. All work blasted shall be coated the same day with FX-408 Zinc Rich Primer. For immersion service, blast to near white surface SSPC SP-10.
Concrete Surfaces: Concrete surfaces shall be cleaned to remove dirt, curing compounds, existing coatings or laitance to provide a clean, sound bonding surface. Cleaning may be accomplished with FX-Masonry Cleaner and water blasting, acid etching or other methods that would achieve a similar result.
MIXING:
FX-587 is a preproportioned unit. Add 1 quart "B" Component to 5 gallon pail containing "A" Component, mix with a low speed drill (300 to 600 rpm) and FX-Mixing Paddle for two (2) minutes. Scrape sides and bottom of container to make sure all material is mixed. Add premeasured (40lb bag) of FX-587 Filler to mixed resin and mix thoroughly for an additional two (2) minutes and place immediately.
YIELD:
A four (4) gallon unit will yield 890± cubic inches of grout.
PACKAGING:
