FX-775 LM Hydro-Ester® Epoxy
DESCRIPTION:
FX-775 LM Hydro-Ester® Epoxy is a two component, 100% solids, moisture insensitive epoxy resin system mixed at a 2:1 ratio. Its low modulus of elasticity permits greater "give" under stress from impact and thermal change. When Components "A" and "B" are mixed together, color will be light straw. FX-775 LM exceeds the requirements of ASTM C-881-02, Types I, IV & V, Grade 2, Class B & C.
ADVANTAGES:
FX-775 LM will cure at ambient temperatures as low as 40°F or greater.
WHERE TO USE:
FX-775 LM is used in either wet or dry environments for floor toppings, grouting of anchor bolts and under machine base plates, patching and skid resistant surfaces.

MIXING:
Combine two parts by volume of Component "A" with one part by volume of Component "B". The blend should be thoroughly mixed for at least three minutes, using a low speed, half-inch, electric drill and FX-Mixing Paddle.
If longer pot life is required, the mixed material may be poured into a mortar pan or any flat pan 1/2" + thick; this will dissipate the heat and extend the pot life for a longer working time.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
The areas to receive the FX-775 LM should be free of liquid contaminants, dirt, grease and heavy laitance. It is recommended that sandblasting, waterblasting, or wirebrushing be utilized for surface preparation. Surfaces may be dry or damp but free of standing water.
APPLICATION:
Floor ToppingThe floor should be primed with neat FX-775 LM at the rate of 100 sq. ft./gal. An epoxy mortar is made with 3/ 1/2 parts FX-701 Filler blended into the mixed epoxy. The mortar is spread with normal masonry tools and trowel finish.
Grouting of Anchor BoltsAll bolts should be cleaned to remove oil, rust, or any other contaminants. If the annular space is 1/8" or less, FX-775 LM is used in the neat state. When concrete strengths are in excess of 3,000 psi, depth of bolt embedment should be 10 diameters of bolt. When concrete strengths are less than 3,000 psi, depth of bolt embedment should be 15 diameters of bolt.
PatchingPrime the surface to be finished with neat mixed FX-775 LM. Combine 3-1/2 parts by volume of FX-Filler to 1 part by volume of FX-775 LM and mix thoroughly with FX-Mixing Paddle. Apply to primed surface and screed level. If extra skidproofing is desired, immediately broadcast FX-701 Filler onto the surface at the rate of 1/2 lb. per square foot.
Skid Resistant SurfacesFor best results, a 3-coat application is recommended. Mix and apply first coat by brush, roller, squeegee or spray coat at the rate of 100 sq. ft./gal. Immediately broadcast FX-701 Filler onto surface at the rate of 3/4 lb./sq. ft. Any FX-701 Filler that does not adhere may be removed by brush the next day. Apply top sealer coat of FX-775 LM. Allow to cure for 24 hours @ 70°F.
One gallon of FX-775LM, when mixed with three parts of FX-701 Filler, will produce approximately 600 cu. in. of grout or mortar, which will cover 16.5 sq. ft. of surface a thickness of 1/4". When used as a coating, coverage will be approximately 70 to 120 sq. ft./gal., depending upon surface conditions.
SHELF LIFE:
2 years
LIMITATIONS:
Epoxy resin (A Component) may crystallize. Heating material to 120°F and stirring will reconstitute material to original condition. Allow to cool before using.
PACKAGING:
FX-775 LM is available in 3 gallon and 15 gallon units.
CAUTION:
"A" Component: May cause skin sensitization or other allergic responses. Avoid inhalation of vapor. Use good ventilation particularly if material is heated or sprayed. Prevent all contact with skin or eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves and/or barrier creams. If contact with skin occurs, wash immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water and contact a physician.
"B" Component: CAUTION! DANGER! Causes severe burns. Contains alkaline amines, strong sensitizer. Do not get into eyes, on skin, or clothing. Avoid breathing vapor. Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
FIRST AID:
In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Wash clothing before reuse. Discard contaminated shoes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves, and/or barrier creams.
