DESCRIPTION:

FX-736 Ceramic Filled Epoxy is a two-component, 100% solids, brushable ceramic, reinforced polymeric compound which has outstanding wear-resistance against abrasion, erosion/corrosion and cavitation in a fluid-flow environment.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

All surfaces to be repaired must be clean of dirt, grease and oil. For best results, remove contamination with abrasive blasting and non-flammable cleaner/degreaser, making sure all dust is removed.

MIXING:

For kilogram units, mix entire contents of activator with base. Mix thoroughly with spatula to produce a streak-free mixture. If entire unit is not mixed at one time, measure accurately 4.5 volumes of base to 1 volume of activator and mix thoroughly. Scrape sides and bottom frequently to insure complete mixing.

APPLICATION:

Apply by brush or applicator. Material should be applied 15 mils thick each coat; minimum two (2) coats. Second coat, and subsequent coats, should be applied as soon as possible and certainly within twenty-four (24) hours; otherwise, brush-blasting will be necessary. Material can be heat cured for two (2) hours at 200°F to achieve ultimate properties.

COVERAGE:

One (1) kg. kit will yield approximately 35 cu. in., 12 ft.<= per 15 mils.

SHELF LIFE:

2 years

LIMITATIONS:

Material should be used in 40 to 90°F temperatures and less than 90% humidity.

CAUTIONS:

"A" Component: Warning! Contains epoxy resin. May cause skin irritation or allergic response. Avoid contact with skin. Avoid breathing vapors when heated. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting.

"B" Component: Warning! Danger! Causes severe burns. Contains alkaline amines-strong sensitizer. Avoid skin contact. Avoid breathing vapors when heated. Wear protective gloves, goggles and barrier creams. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of ingestion, induce vomiting. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
