FX Floor Sealer

DESCRIPTION:

FX-Floor Sealer is a non-rewettable, polymer emulsion. It is formulated for use with all types of gypsum and cement floor underlayment.

USE:

Seals and strengthens concrete, wood, or other porous substrates prior to installation of cement underlayment
Promotes adhesion of underlayment to existing substrates
Prevents excessive water loss from the underlayment before setting occurs
Strengthens surfaces of underlayment

APPLICATION:

Seal Porous Substrates:
Dilute one (1) part FX-Floor Sealer with two (2) parts clean, potable water. Apply to clean surfaces by brush, roller or spray, at a rate of approximately 200 square feet per diluted gallon.

Promote Adhesion:
Dilute one (1) part FX-Floor Sealer with two (2) parts clean, potable water. Apply to clean surfaces by brush, roller or spray, at a rate of approximately 200 square feet per diluted gallon. Place underlayment while FX-Floor Sealer is still wet. If FX-Floor Sealer dries, recoat and place underlayment, or promote adhesion with application of FX-336 Rewettable Adhesion Promoter.

Strengthen Surface of Underlayment:
Prior to strengthening surface conduct test to verify moisture content in underlayment is less than 4%. Dilute one (1) part FX-Floor Sealer with three (3) parts clean, potable water. Apply to surfaces by brush, roller or spray, at a rate of approximately 200 square feet per diluted gallon. Avoid leaving puddles.

It is highly recommended that the diluted material not be stored for future use.

CLEAN UP:

Tools and application equipment can be cleaned with soap and water. Soap residue should be thoroughly rinsed from equipment prior to the next use.

CAUTION:

WARNING! Contains emulsion polymer. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid ingestion. Provide adequate ventilation or respiratory protection if spraying vapor or mist is created. Consult MSDS for further safety information.

FIRST AID:

In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with water for 15 minutes. If irritation develops, consult physician. In case of skin contact, wash affected areas with soap and water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If irritation develops consult a physician.
