DESCRIPTION:

FX-491 Decoupage Epoxy is a two component, 100% solids, epoxy resin system. When mixed at a 1:1 ratio, FX-491 provides a decoupage grade epoxy surface for wood products. FX-491 gives a beautiful elegant mar resistant surface that will enhance the look and value of wood for years to come.

WHERE TO USE:

Wood surface, tables, clocks, art projects.

SURFACE PREPARATIONS:

Remove dust, laitance, or grease, sand to desired finish.

MIXING:

Material should range between 65° F and 85°F to facilitate ease of mixing. Stir material well. Mix for 2-3 minutes. Let any air from mixing out and apply to surface immediately. Avoid entrapping air.

APPLICATION:

Pour on level surface. Heating FX-491 with a propane torch after pouring on surface will eliminate the air bubbles. Care must be taken to avoid scorching FX-491.

COVERAGE:

12.8 SF/gallon @ 1/8" thick.

LIMITATIONS:

Do not thin FX-491. Solvents will prevent proper cure.

CAUTION:

WARNING! "A" Component contains epoxy resin. May cause skin sensitization or other allergic responses. Use good ventlation, particularly if the material is heated or sprayed. Prevent al contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves, and/or barrier creams. "B" Component: Contains alkaline amines; strong sensitizer. Do not get into eyes, on skin or clothing. Avoid breathing vapor. Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

FIRST AID:

In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Wash clothing before reuse. Discard contaminated shoes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves, and/or barrier creams.
