FX-460 Primer
FX-460 was used in the following case studies:
DESCRIPTION:
FX-460 Primer is a water based penetrant for use on concrete and masonry surfaces. FX-460 is premixed and ready to use. No mixing is required. It is the first coat of the FX-460 Coating system which provides excellent protection to concrete against attack from wet/dry, freeze/thaw cycles, and de-icing chemicals.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Surfaces must be clean and sound. While some moisture present in the concrete or masonry will not affect the performance of FX-460 Primer, the drier the surface, the deeper the penetration.
APPLICATION:
First apply FX-460 Primer. This comes ready to use, simply stir and apply. FX-460 Primer may be applied by brush, roller or spray. Simple garden type pressure equipment is sufficient to spray FX-460 Primer. Apply FX-460 Coating after primer has dried for 1/2 hour.
COVERAGE:
FX-460 Primer is applied at 125 square feet per gallon to meet NY DOT specifications. Other applications allow for a spread rate of 250-350 square feet per gallon, depending up on concrete or masonry porosity. FX-460 Top Coat is applied at approximately 200 to 300 square feet/gallon, depending upon concrete or masonry porosity.
LIMITATIONS:
Do not apply on or through standing water. Material is not intended to seal moving cracks from moisture intrusion. Do not apply at surface temperatures below 45¡ F, or when surface temperature is expected to fall below 45¡ F within four (4) hours after application.
CAUTION:
Contains polymeric siloxanes. In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least fifteen (15) minutes. Call a physician in case of severe skin or eye irritation. Wash skin with soap and water.
