FX-446 Waterbased Polyurea

DESCRIPTION:

FX-446 Waterbased Polyurea is an aliphatic polyurea coating developed to exhibit a combination of film hardness, flexibility, good water, ultraviolet and abrasion resistance, and excellent solvent resistance. FX-446 may be applied to a wide range of rigid and flexible substrates such as wood, metal, vinyl, concrete and other plastic parts. It dries rapidly to produce an impervious highly abrasion resistant surface. It protects tiles and coatings from staining, scratches, scuff marks and chipping. FX-446 is also an excellent primer for concrete, metal, PVC and wood prior to applying polyureas.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Surfaces shall be cleaned to remove dirt, curing compounds, existing coatings or laitance to provide a clean, sound bonding surface. Cleaning may be accomplished with FX-Masonry Cleaner and waterblasting, or other methods that would achieve a similar result.

APPLICATION:

Stir before using. Remove all wax from flooring. Clean all dust and dirt particles, by light solvent wipe such as MEK or acetone. FX-446 Waterbased Polyurea can be applied by brush, roller or conventional spraying. Coverage depends on the porosity of the surface approximately 300 sq. ft./gal. Apply two coats for best results. Apply first coat, let dry 2 hours, then apply second coat.

COVERAGE:

1 gallon 300 to 400 ft² @ 2 mils dry

PACKAGING:

1 gallon, 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums.

LIMITATIONS:

Do not apply below 40°F. For interior use, use two coats. Keep container closed tightly when not in use.

CAUTION:

CONTAINS POLYMERIC ISOCYANATE. Avoid breathing of vapors if spraying mists.
