FX-930 Rapid Hardening Cement
DESCRIPTION:
FX-930 Rapid Hardening Cement is a fast hardening, non-shrink hydraulic cement. It is especially formulated for concrete repairs where rapid strength gain, good durability, no shrinkage and positive bond are essential. When used as a replacement for Portland Cement, and mixed with water and suitable aggregates, it produces a quality concrete, which attains 2,500+ psi compressive strength in two hours. FX-930 contains no added chlorides.
ADVANTAGES:
FX-930 exceeds all requirements of ASTM C-928. It is especially desirable for patching with minimum downtime. For groutmix FX-930 cement with sand. For concretemix FX-930 cement with sand and coarse aggregate. Amounts may vary depending on strength required. Both fine and coarse aggregate shall meet the requirements of ASTM C-33.
APPLICATIONS:
As a Portland Cement replacement, FX-930 is ideal for applications where quick concrete strength is required, including repairs of highways, runways, sidewalks, and floors.

DIRECTIONS FOR CONCRETE:
Remove all unsound concrete keeping edges and corners square. Adjacent concrete should be free of oil, grease, laitance and debris. Apply FX-752 Bonding Agent or dampen area with water where fresh grout or concrete will be placed against existing concrete.
A slump of approximately 4" is recommended for ease of placement and to assure a good bond. The working time for FX-930 Rapid Hardening Cement is approximately 20 minutes at 70°F (longer at lower temperatures, shorter at higher temperatures).
It is important that the placement operation be organized within this time limitation. After Hardening, the concrete will gain strength quickly, and finishing operations may be difficult. In hot weather, the working time may be extended by using cold materials, ice, and/or FX-343 DP Retarder. In cold weather, warm materials may be used to hasten the set and strength development.
For best results, wet cure or apply FX-15 Membrane Curing Compound.
COVERAGE:
Each 50 lb. (23 kg) bag mixed with 100 lb. sand, and waterwill yield approximately 1.2 cu. ft. of mortar.
SHELF LIFE:
One (1) year
LIMITATION:
FX-930 Rapid Hardening Cement should not be used in temperatures below 40°F (4°C) or placed at layers of less than 1/2" (12.7 mm) thick. Areas for patching must be clean; precautions should be taken when sandblasting or when compressors are used, that water and oil collection traps are used.
CAUTION:
Contains cementitious materials. Freshly mixed materials may cause skin irritation or skin injury. Avoid contact with skin and wash exposed skin areas promptly with water. If any cement powder or mixture gets into eyes, rinse immediately and repeatedly with water and get prompt medical attention. SEE MSDS.
