DESCRIPTION:

FX-70-8 DP Underwater Mortar is a rapid hardening mortar designed to be applied underwater (salt or fresh). FX-70-8 DP is for hand packing or placing. It contains special agents that hold the matrix together in water (non-water separable). FX-70-8 DP requires merely the addition of mixing water at the job site. FX-70-8 DP meets the New Jersey DOT Spec 919.12 Type II suitable for use underwater.

HOW TO USE:

All deteriorated concrete should be removed by waterblasting or chipping to sound concrete. FX-70-8 DP Underwater Mortar can be mixed with up to 1.25 gallons (3.8 L) of water per 50 lb. (23 kg.) bag, and will produce thixotropic, non-shrinking grout. Be sure temperature after mixing is no less than 50°F. Apply immediately after mixing. Set time in air is 6 minutes. Higher temperatures will speed set time.

LIMITATIONS:

FX-70-8 DP Underwater Mortar should not be used at temperatures below freezing.

COVERAGE:

Each 50 lb. (23 kg.) bag will yield approximately .40 cu. ft. (11,326 cm2) of grouting mortar at a pourable consistency.

CAUTION:

Contains Portland Cement and Silica Sand. Cement powder or freshly mixed concrete, grout or mortar may cause skin injury. Avoid contact with skin; wash exposed areas promptly with water. If any cement powder or mixture gets into eyes, rinse immediately and repeatedly with water. Get prompt medical attention! Dust harmful if inhaled. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing dust.
