FX-792 was used in the following case studies:

DESCRIPTION:

FX-792 LP Hydro-Ester® Epoxy Resin is a two-component, long potlife, 100% solids epoxy resin system, mixed at a 2:1 ratio. FX-792 LP meets the requirements of ASTM C-881 Type I and II, Grade 2, Class C & F. FX-792 LP provides 50% extended pot life and contact time compared to most epoxy bonding compounds.

ADVANTAGES:

FX-792 LP Hydro-Ester® Epoxy Resin, can be used in damp or dry environments for bonding new concrete to old concrete; to produce a grout or mortar for floor toppings, when mixed with one to three parts of an FX-Filler. It is formulated in a convenient 2A:1B ratio, for ease of proportioning and mixing at jobsite.

*FX-792, when compared to normal setting epoxy resins with 1/2 hour pot life at 70°F, should be tested at 7 days; if specimens are cured at 90°F, they may be tested at 3 days.

APPLICATION:

Surface must be clean and sound. Remove rust, unsound material, grease, and curing compounds by best means available. FX-792 LP Hydro-Ester® Epoxy Resin may be applied to dry, damp, or wet surfaces, but not in standing water. Apply by brush, roller, or spray. Place fresh concrete while FX-792 LP is still tacky. If epoxy hardens simply apply another coat.

COVERAGE:

Apply at a rate of 100 sq.ft. per gallon on smooth surfaces when bonding new concrete to old. Coverage will be less on rough surfaces.

LIMITATIONS:

The temperature of the components of FX-792 LP Hydro-Ester® Epoxy Resin must be in excess of 60°F when mixed to achieve proper cure. Application to surfaces with a temperature below 55° F greatly prolongs cure.

Epoxy resin (A Component) may crystallize. Heating material to 120°F and stirring will reconstitute material to original condition. Allow to cool before using.

SHELF LIFE:

2 years

CAUTION:

WARNING! "A" Component contains epoxy resin. DANGER! "B" Component contains alkaline amines; strong sensitizer. May cause skin sensitization or other allergic responses. Use with good ventilation, particularly if material is heated or sprayed. Prevent all contact with skin or eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves and/or barrier creams. Keep container closed when not in use. Wash thoroughly after handling.

FIRST AID:

In case of skin contact, immediately wash with soap and water. In case of eye contact, flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least fifteen (15) minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Wash clothing before reuse.

FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. 2/2009
