DESCRIPTION:

FX-746 Delineator & Traffic Marker Adhesive is a two component, 1:1 ratio, 100% solids, moisture insensitive epoxy resin system manufactured to bond delineators and traffic markers to median barriers, parapets, and roadways. FX-746 is a normal setting adhesive for use in temperatures above 50° F. FX-746 will bond to steel, concrete, and asphalt. FX-746 exceeds the requirements of AASHTO M237 Type IV.

ADVANTAGES:

FX-746 is conveniently manufactured in a 1:1 mix ratio, for easy mixing and proportioning. One part of FX-701 Filler may be added by volume for economy, when setting roadway traffic markers.

PACKAGING:

FX-746 is available in 2 gallon, 10 gallon and 100 gallon units.

COVERAGE:

When used neat, a 2-gallon unit of FX-746 will cover approximately 100 square feet at a 15 mil thickness. When used as a mortar, a 2-gallon unit of FX-746 mixed with 2 gallons by volume of FX-701 Filler will yield approximately 785 cubic inches of mortar.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

For best results, areas to receive FX-746 should be free of laitance, grease, oil, and any other contaminants, which would inhibit bond. Sandblasting, waterblasting, or wirebrushing for surface preparation are recommended.

MIXING:

Mix FX-746 for approximately 3 minutes in a clean pail, using a slow speed drill and an FX-Mixing Paddle. To obtain a mortar, add FX-701 Filler slowly while continuing to mix. FX-746 may be used with automatic dispensing equipment utilizing a static mixer head. Heating the material will lower viscosity to allow easier placement. Heating will speed set time and cure.

LIMITATIONS:

FX-746 should not be used when surface temperatures are below 40 °F.

CAUTIONS:

"A" Component: WARNING! Contains epoxy resin. May cause skin sensitization or other allergic responses. Avoid inhalation of vapor. Use good ventilation, particularly if material is heated or sprayed. Prevent contact with skin or eyes. If skin is contacted, wash immediately with soap and water. If eyes are contacted, flush immediately with water and consult a physician.

"B" Component: WARNING! Contains amine polymer. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Wash clothing before reuse. Discard contaminated shoes.
