FX-641
Concrete Primer
DESCRIPTION:
FX-641 Concrete Primer is a two component polyurethane primer that prepares concrete surfaces to accept polyurea coatings. After 30 minutes it dries to a tacky surface suitable for spraying with FX-640 Sprayable Aromatic Polyurea. It penetrates and seals the surface to allow smooth pinhole free coating. FX-641 Fast Set Concrete Primer is available as a special order.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
New concrete - Remove laitance by acid etching, abrasive blasting or water blasting. Old concrete - abrasive blast or water blast to remove laitance and contamination.
MIXING:
Combine one (1) part of Component "A" and one (1) part Component "B", by volume, in the quantity desired. Mix FX-641 with a low speed drill and FX-Mixing Paddle for two (2) minutes. Avoid entrapping air while mixing. Apply immediately after mixing.
APPLICATION:
Apply by brush, roller, or conventional spray. FX-641 can be applied at temperatures from 35°F to 120°F. Depending on temperature polyurea topcoats can be applied within 15 minutes to 24 hours after primer application.
RECOMMENDED THICKNESS:
Normally used at film thickness of 4 mils (300 to 400 SF/gallon). Two coats may be necessary for very porous substrates.
PACKAGING:
FX-641 is packaged as 2 gallon, 10 gallon and 100 gallon units
SHELF LIFE:
Six months minimum when stored at 75°F and dry conditions. FX-641, like most construction materials, must be stored in a dry, well protected and suitable storage environment.
CAUTION:
Contains organic isocyanates MDI. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not ingest. Keep away from foodstuffs and wash thoroughly before smoking or eating. Should skin contact occur, wash skin well with soap and water. Should eye contact occur, flush thoroughly for at least 15 minutes with water. Get medical attention.
